About Paros
The island of Paros is located in the center of the Cyclades, halfway between Athens and Santorini. The Mediterranean climate of this Greek Island provides very hot and dry summers, making it a very popular holiday destination. Paros is suitable for every type of visitor: Numerous sandy beaches, churches, chapels and monasteries make the heart of every traveller beat faster.
The capital of the island is Parikia, where you can find a variety of small local shops, located in a maze of narrow streets with typical Cycladic architecture. It also has one of the largest ports in the Cyclades with connections to most other major islands, making it an excellent starting point for a hopping island adventure.
Naoussa, a fishing village in the north of the island, is arguably the most beautiful place of Paros. The romantic old port is still used by local fishing boats and is considered to be the most beautiful harbor in the Cyclades.
Whether you prefer a quiet, peaceful holiday or an active, educational one, Paros has all the options. And for those who just want to enjoy the sun and the sand, Paros is blessed with a wide variety of types of beaches, from hidden little rocky bays, to long, wide sandy stretches.
